LEDDY TUBE modules employ advanced LED technology. As a result, they emit the same amount of light as normal fluorescent lamps but consume half the energy, a key feature for the ecologically responsible consumer that also translates into considerable savings on the electricity bill. An additional advantage is the durability of these LED modules. In contrast to regular fluorescent lamps, whose light output drops to half after a year of use, LEDs can be used for years without replacement, thus saving further money.

I LEDDY TUBE sono molto facili da installare. Ciascun modello può essere installato in qualsiasi apparecchio (anche con i T5 Juwel, per i modelli specifici). I moduli si alimentano dalla loro fonte di energia indipendente. Ci sono quattro versioni disponibili: due per acquari di acqua dolce (SUNNY che emette luce con una temperatura di colore di 6500K simile allo spettro solare, e PLANT con una temperatura di colore di 8000K, progettato per stimolare la crescita delle piante acquatiche) e due per acquari di acqua marina (MARINE, che emette una luce con temperatura di colore di 10000K, progettata per incrementare la crescita dei coralli, ed ACTINIC, da 20000K, per esaltarne i colori).

As one of the most up-to-date aquarium solutions, LEDs have ousted the outdated fluorescent tubes from the market. They provide the ideal light parameters for a tank, while consuming significantly less energy than conventional light sources. Moreover, their lifetime is several times longer than that of fluorescent lamps. This means further savings, as there is no need for frequent replacement.

In the course of time, some installed LEDs may fail. Should this happen, AQUAEL has developed an effective solution for this problem. In the SUNNY versions, if a diode stops working, its functions are taken over by a nearby LED that begins to emit more light. Thanks to this, even if individual LEDs fail, the lamp continues to function properly, and the light parameters remain unchanged. In the PLANT versions, on the other hand, the system is based on the presence of additional LEDs that are not normally operational. They will only be activated if one of the primary diodes should fail, ensuring stable light and lighting parameters.
