AQUAEL offers a wide range of natural aquarium bottoms. This product line includes:

BASALT SAND 0.1-0.5 mm (basalt sand) recommended for aquaria inhabited by shy bottom-dwelling fish that prefer dark substrates (fine sand does not harm their skin);

BASALT GRAVEL 2-4 mm (basalt gravel) ideal for aquaria with shy fish that prefer dark substrates;

QUARTZ SAND 0.1-0.3 mm (quartz sand) is recommended for aquaria inhabited by bottom-dwelling fish (fine sand does not harm their skin);

DOLOMITE GRAVEL 2-4 mm (dolomitic gravel) is intended for aquaria that prefer hard, alkaline water (such as species originating from Lakes Malawi, Tanganyika or Victoria); this gravel stabilises water parameters;

NATURAL MULTI-COLOUR GRAVEL 1.4-2 mm, 3-5 mm, 5-10 mm will give your aquarium a natural and attractive appearance.

These substrates (with the exception of dolomite gravel) do not change the water chemistry. They are sold in practical, sturdy plastic bags perfectly suited for shop shelves. Each bag contains 2 to 10 kg of product. Before use, rinse the substrate in running water to remove any suspension.
