The manufacturer lists this fluorescent tube among what she calls 'complementary lights', so it should be used with the same company's 'basic lights' or in combination with metal halide lamps.

The lamp has an intense blue colour, peaking at 450nm, making it suitable both for enhancing the fluorescence of certain corals and for further stimulating photosynthesis of symbionts.

ATI suggests using it in a 3:1 ratio with AquaBlu Special, its basic tube.
