The manufacturer informs:
With the ARCOS II ICP-OES machine, Ati has chosen an analyser of the highest level in its class. It is characterised by very high precision and is used wherever high demands are placed on elemental analysis.
This allows ARCOS to detect trace elements in concentrations of less than 1um/L (0.001 mg/L); all in order to keep track of everything that is happening in the tank.
With the help of the ICP-OES Ati test, it will be possible to monitor the daily consumption of each individual element, higher or lower, and then to administer the appropriate supplement to maintain the best levels for the balance of the aquarium.
With the test, it will be possible to know the values of many parameters including:
Salinity and KH: As all readings are affected by salinity, the test provides accurate and balanced readings by taking salinity values into account, giving even more certain results.
Main elements: chloride, sodium, sulphur, magnesium, calcium, potassium, bromine, strontium and boron.
Minor elements: aluminium, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, bismuth, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, iodine, lead, lithium, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, phosphorus, selenium, silicon, silver, thallium, tin, titanium, vanadium and zinc.
The free online Lab software helps in the interpretation of the results.
With the Ati ICP-OES test, it is possible to send not only aquarium water samples but also an osmotic water sample in order to be able to know the concentrations of trace elements, pollutants and phosphorus; to do this, it is advisable to take the sample directly from the outlet of the osmotic water production plant used in order to avoid external contamination.
