The manufacturer informs: 

A domestic system for producing water free of mineral salts (conductivity and TDS are therefore zero) and totally deionised; ideal for those who need ultra-pure water in their aquarium.    

The system consists of four successive stages:  

• 5 mcr transparent sediment cartridge: removes suspended particles and rust or particulate residue from the water; recommended replacement every 6 months or 3000 litres of produced water; the transparency of the container gives the user the possibility to constantly monitor the cartridge's state of wear and tear

• activated carbon cartridge: removes chlorine, heavy metals, drug or pesticide residues and other substances potentially harmful to the aquarium from the water; it is also recommended to replace it every 6 months or 3000 litres of produced water 
   
• Vontron membrane: specially developed for use in domestic systems, ULP1812 series membranes are designed for the treatment of low salinity water such as that flowing in our waterworks.
  

Already working at relatively low pressures, ULP1812s are perfectly suited for use in domestic systems and, in particular, for the production of osmotic water for aquariums.

•   the supplied post-filter kit consists of a transparent cartridge inside which a deionising resin acts against nitrates, phosphates and silicates; the resin turns from green to blue as it exhausts its deionising effect.
  The transparent cartridge allows the resin saturation status to be constantly monitored.

Flush Valve for membrane flushing:

the system is equipped with a valve that allows regular maintenance of the diaphragm, thus extending its life.

Simply turning the valve knob causes the waste water to re-enter the vessel and flow out from where the permeate would normally flow out, thus subjecting the membrane to the washing process that improves its operating conditions.

Included in the package are:

- tightening spanner for easier screwing of the container cap in which the membrane is placed

- water mains connector with 3/4" female thread (washing machine connection)

- 5mt of white 3/4" hose
